Coastal Living

Last week the Nau brothers loaded up their cars (with wives and new babies in tow) and headed down to the coast for a weekend with Yaya and G-Pa. Oh what fun we all had together!

This was Avery's and Ainsley's first trip to the coast house, and I must say they adapted very well to coastal living - you might say, like a fish to... well, you get the idea.

On Saturday, we all drove to Rockport for lunch at Hemmingways, and then made an "appearance" at our favorite store, Bay Window (one of the employees is a friend of Yaya's and she was eager to meet the new additions to our family).

That afternoon, the boys headed out to go waterskiing and the girls took the opportunity for some much-needed relaxation/napping. We finished the night with some delicious homemade Tex-Mex fixings, and watched the sweet babies nestle up together in the pack 'n play.

Once the girls were asleep, the mommies ran out for a DQ Blizzard fix (naturally!).
On Sunday morning, Yaya soaked up the moment by snuggling with her two grandbabies - which I can safely say is her new favorite thing in the world!
Alas, the weekend had to end, so we loaded up our cars and headed home. This first trip to the coast was a delightful success - here's to many more!
